Description

Diagnostics of virus infections in plant production can be conducted by serological or molecular methods. It allows defining the spectrum and prevalence of plant viruses present in the agro-ecosystems and in seed material and timely develop the proper prophylactic measures.

The University has necessary experience, scientific personnel and modern equipment, and developed technology for generating polyclonal virus-specific antisera and designing specific oligonucleotide probes for plant viruses for their subsequent use in the diagnostic kits.

These diagnostic kits will be used for plant virus detection in seed material, vegetative mass and soil.
